Built in Knysna by Kinetic Catamarans, the KC54 is a lightweight, performance-focused sailing catamaran that combines carbon composite construction with advanced marine technology. Designed by Simonis Voogd, the KC54 delivers high-speed sailing capabilities alongside elegant interior comfort — making it an ideal solution for owners who demand both performance and refined liveability.

Each KC54 is tailored to its owner’s sailing profile — from long-range ocean cruising to competitive offshore racing — and reflects Kinetic Catamarans’ commitment to efficiency, technology, and craft.

Jo Fensham Contribution

Jo Fensham was entrusted with the full interior and exterior upholstery package for Kealoah, delivering a complete suite of soft furnishings and precision-engineered comfort systems.

This included:

  • Custom saloon and stateroom seating, designed with advanced composite substructures to reduce weight while retaining shape and support

  • Cockpit cushions, tailored to integrate seamlessly with the KC54’s performance ergonomics and high-angle sailing requirements

  • Headboards, mattresses, and fabric wall features, made to measure for each cabin and designed to remain secure and comfortable in offshore conditions

  • Bespoke bedding systems, crafted for both luxury and practical performance

Throughout the project, Jo Fensham’s team worked to exacting tolerances and specifications, ensuring that all materials and construction techniques supported the KC54’s performance goals. The result is a flawless fusion of weight-conscious design, marine-grade durability, and contemporary styling — reinforcing Jo Fensham’s role as a trusted partner in high-performance yacht interiors.
