Vessel overview
Built by Robertson & Caine in Cape Town and designed by Simonis Voogd, the Leopard 53 Powercat is the flagship of the Leopard power range. The original model premiered at the Miami International Boat Show in 2020 and went on to win Multihull of the Year. Following the delivery of more than 140 vessels, a refreshed Leopard 53 Powercat was introduced in late 2025, ahead of its public presentation at the 2026 Miami International Boat Show.
Measuring 15.40 metres overall with a beam of 7.67 metres, the Leopard 53 Powercat combines efficient bluewater performance with generous living and entertainment spaces. Powered as standard by twin 370 hp Yanmar diesel engines, she cruises at approximately 17 knots and is available in three- or four-cabin configurations, with optional crew accommodation.
The refresh introduces a redesigned saloon and galley, improved seating and storage, upgraded finishes and better flow between the interior and exterior spaces. Additional updates include a choice of aft cockpit layouts, an optional electric lifting platform and a redesigned flybridge with more comfortable seating, improved helm ergonomics and enhanced entertainment facilities.

Jo Fensham is a long-standing upholstery partner to Robertson & Caine and supplies the complete interior upholstery package for the Leopard 53 Powercat Refresh.
For this model, Jo Fensham’s work includes:
- Precision-manufactured saloon seating and interior cushions
- Upholstered interior seating elements throughout the accommodation spaces
- Cabin headboards and fiddles, manufactured for each cabin configuration
- Custom-shaped mattresses, CNC-cut to fit the individual berth profiles
- Carefully selected fabrics, foams and finishing details suited to the requirements of production yacht building
The redesigned saloon places even greater emphasis on comfort, ergonomics and refined interior finishes. Jo Fensham’s precisely fitted cushions and upholstered seating contribute to this updated environment, supporting the improved seating arrangement while maintaining the consistency required across the Leopard production range.
In the cabins, each mattress is shaped to suit the vessel’s individual berth geometry, providing a precise fit and comfortable sleeping surface. Upholstered headboards and coordinated bedding complete the accommodation spaces, complementing the refreshed colour palette, contemporary woodwork and upgraded finishes.
Jo Fensham combines digital scanning, CNC foam and fabric cutting, and skilled hand finishing to deliver consistent quality across each Leopard 53 Powercat. The company’s scope on Leopard Catamarans is focused exclusively on the interior upholstery, saloon cushions, mattresses, headboards and bedding; it does not include the exterior or cockpit upholstery.
